I'm using SkyDemon on a Samsung NC10 Netbook, screen resolution 1024x600. With the latest preview the toolbars no longer fit fully. Not a problem for me as I've removed the Charts and Waypoints buttons as these have shortcuts, then moved the Weather bar to the top row.



However, that got me thinking a full screen mode where the Title bar, Menu bar and Buttons auto-hide at the top would be useful. IE does this with the F11 key and it's ideal for flightbag friendly NetBooks.



With the route plan / enroute window open all the time, having a fullscreen mode would add about 35% more height for the map.

It's a great idea and we've experimented with this before, but haven't got it working quite to our satisfaction yet. The closest is when you switch to navigation mode, where lots of the UI disappears but the titlebar is still visible. I sometimes use SkyDemon on a netbook so this irritates me too from time to time, so I'm sure we'll crack it someday.
